These two spreads represent the final form of the printed book. All
photographs of noted designers are in black & white while all the design work is
presented in 4-color. You can clearly make out the three separate bodies of text,
noting that one was almost always set apart from the other two which
would overlap in varying degrees. |

| To categorize typography as traditional, liberal conservatism
or avant-gardism is to ignore the overall question of how typographical design can best
serve as an acutely sensitive instrument for communication between divergent ideas
