Thesis Cover The theme of the cover is that this was my view on the typographic forms. Therefore, I used my thesis identity and photographs of myself as imagery. I showed this with the first full color proof of the entire book. The overall coloration was originally violet. This brought into question why violet? I chose the violet because it seemed to play off the tone of the rest of the book and because of its regal connotations. After speaking to Dr. Richard Zakia I decided to use a new color, one that would be a metaphor for the entire project, specifically newness and that I was going to make it more shocking. As we spoke I agreed that a neon-like green might be more appropriate.
